Saez hails Real Madrid and Spanish ace Raul

Real Madrid ace Raul has become Spain's all-time leading scorer after finding the back of the net in his country's 3-1 victory in Germany overnight.

Raul scored his landmark 30th international goal on the half-hour before Fredi Bobic leveled the scores.

But Raul scored his second from the penalty-spot in the second-half and substitute Jose Maria Gutierrez netted the third inside the final ten minutes.

Afterwards, Spain trainer Inaki Saez said, "That first goal from Raul we should keep on video and show to youngsters wanting to learn about finishing."

"Raul is an icon of Spanish football. He never goes into a game like it is a friendly. He always sets himself goals and works very hard to achieve them."

Saez continued, "It was a very important game for us. We're a young team, many under 24, and to play a power like Germany and win is very, very satisfying."
