Sacchi: Real Madrid criticisms were poorly translated

Real Madrid general manager Arrigo Sacchi insists his criticisms of the players last week in the Italian press were "poorly translated" by the Spanish media.
 
Sacchi was quoted saying that Real were "not competitive in Europe nor Spain", but told Real Madrid TV yesterday: "My interview with the newspaper was wrongly translated."

"I maintain I have confidence in the group. What happened is due to the intensity of the world we live in. My words were poorly translated, but it does not have any importance."

"With Guti I have an affectionate relationship."

Sacchi also said: "Against Betis we showed pride, fight, effort... and that is important for the most famous, powerful club and with the greatest history in the world. It was not a fantastic game, but all showed determination."
