Ruud Tops Real's Wishlist

According to the Spanish media, Ruud Van Nistelrooy will be Real Madrid's next big summer signing.

Van Nistelrooy is said to be topping a list that includes Arsenal's Thierry Henry and Liverpool's Michael Owen.

It was around this time last year that the Spanish media successfully predicted Madrid's last big acquisition, David Beckham.

Ronaldo told a Spanish Radio station following the news release that he ould welcome Ruud to Real. "I don't think it would be a problem if he were to play for us. I think we have styles that compliment each other well."

Carlos Queiroz would neither confirm nor deny that hi club will make a move for the Dutch striker. "At the moment I am content with my team and it would be difficult to introduce a new player into the squad at this point," he said.
