Rui Costa plumps for Milan

Despite offers from Parma and Real Madrid, Fiorentina's Manuel Rui Costa seems to have decided to follow former coach Fatih Terim to AC Milan.

Fiorentina were reported to have accepted a $US 62m offer from Parma for the Portuguese star and keeper Francesco Toldo, although Real Madrid were still hopeful on Monday of securing his services.

However Rui Costa said on Monday: "I'm the person who will have the last word. Fiorentina and Parma seem to be in a rush to seal my transfer but it is my career that we are talking about."

At the moment it is still unclear exactly how much will be paid for the midfielder, but his value in the transfer market is thought to be in the region of $US 40m.

Even though the official announcement is yet to be given, Rui Costa is expected in Milan on Wednesday to sign his new contract with The Rossonerri.
