Ronaldo working overtime to be fit for Real Madrid

Brazilian ace Ronaldo is working overtime to be fit for Wednesday's Champions League semifinal against Juventus.

The striker is carrying an injury to his left leg, but trained for an hour yesterday at the Santiago Bernabeu and traveled to Turin overnight with the rest of the Real squad.

Ronaldo will have a fitness test this afternoon and Real insiders are quietly confident he will get the all-clear from the club's medicos.

"I do not know if I will be able to play in Turin," Ronaldo said. "But I am confident that whatever happens, we will win the game and give a new European joy to the fans."

"Juve are difficult, are champions of Italy, but Madrid does not have to depend on anybody."
