Ronaldo will help me score more goals for Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Raul believes he will benefit from the attention Ronaldo will receive from defenders this season.

The Spanish international said, "Ronaldo is a great player and I hope that he soon reach 100 per cent fitness. Defences will be focusing on him and that will leave more freedom for me."

Raul, 24, has been with Real Madrid for eight years and he says his relationships with sports chief Jorge Valdano and president Florentino Perez are excellent.

"There are grounds where I can disagree with them and they will respect my opinion," he added.
