Ronaldo tribute to Real Madrid teammates after collecting Golden Boot

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo paid tribute to his teammates after collecting the European Golden Shoe yesterday.

Ronaldo was presented with the trophy after finishing joint top scorer in Europe alongside former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

He said: "You only win this trophy with a very good squad around you and with everyone's support. Last year things went very well and we won the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. It was an extraordinary year and I feel very lucky to be in this squad and at Real Madrid."

"I feel very happy that some of my team-mates have attended. I don't invite the whole squad to come because I feel that I'm taking away their time so as to come to a ceremony. I'm obviously pleased. If I invited everyone, I'm sure they would come. I'm not thinking about a fourth Golden Shoe. That has to come about naturally. I'm in a good position, but I have to keep going as I am and let things take their course."
