Ronaldo tells Tokyo fans: We'll see you next year!

Ronaldo turned in his best performance in a Real Madrid shirt as he helped the European champs capture the Intercontinental Cup last night in Tokyo.

The Brazilian scored the opening goal and was deemed man-of-the-match by an official judging panel as Real defeated Paraguay's Olimpia 2-0.

"I am delighted. This ground brought me much luck in the World Cup and now it has returned to be positive," said Ronaldo.

"This year has been incredible for me and for Real Madrid, which has won everything."

"Having been two years injured, returning to win titles is something very important for me."

"We are playing well and now what we want is to be able to return here next year!"
