Cristiano Ronaldo has been caught slating Real Madrid's defending during their Champions League defeat to Schalke.

Real managed to limp into the quarterfinals, despite losing 4-3 at home in Madrid on Tuesday night.

Canal+ cameras captured an exchange between Ronaldo and Karim Benzema after Schalke's fourth goal went in.

The footage shows Ronaldo, his face a picture of frustration and disappointment, turning to Benzema, and mouthing the words "What a disgrace" repeatedly.

Ronaldo struck twice on the night.
