Ronaldo Praying For Real To Sign Henry

Real Madrid striker Ronaldo has urged the Spanish champions to sign Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.

The Brazilian believes the Santiago Bernabeu is the best place for Henry to play football and isn't concerned that the arrival of the Frenchman, or even Ruud Van Nistelrooy, would effect his own future.

Last month Real's president Florentino Perez vowed to continue his policy of signing a world-class player every summer.

Henry is competing with Real's Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane for Fifa's World Player of the Year award, which will be announced next week.

"The best club in the world for Thierry Henry to play his football at is Real Madrid," Ronaldo was quoted as saying in The Sun.

"I pray that Real keep on signing the very best players in the game."

"It does not worry me to hear people talking about Thierry or Ruud van Nistelrooy joining Madrid."

"It will just increase the competition for places and I'm happy with that."
