Ronaldo, Kaka won't challenge Real Madrid captain Raul

Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo have been quick to show respect to their new captain, Real Madrid legend Raul.

Both players insist they're ready to work under Raul after speculation that personalities would clash - including claims from former Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Kaka said: "It is impossible for Raúl to surprise me. Everything he does, he does so easily. He has proven again this preseason that he is an important player."

Ronaldo also remarked: "He is an example to all and is doing well, scoring goals. We are committed to perfection in attack."

Meanwhile, Real's captain said: "I've been with Madrid for 15 years doing the same thing: scoring goals. In all this time I've played forward and I think that is where I can be most useful to the team."
