Ronaldo: I'd Give The Golden Ball To Roberto Carlos

Real Madrid striker Ronaldo believes that team-mate Roberto Carlos should be crowned European Footballer of the Year.

"If it were up to me I would give the trophy to him," he said. "He is not only a super defender, but he's spectacular and scores incredible goals. He's impressive and looks younger each day."

Ronaldo also put in a good word for Milan's Paolo Maldini: "He would be a worthy winner. He has had an awesome career and I appreciate him as a person. And when he's on the pitch, he hardly ever makes mistakes."
