Ronaldo ends scoreless streak

Ronaldo broke his six-game streak without a goal, scoring Saturday during Real Madrid's 3-2 victory at Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish league.

The Brazilian star struck in the 16th minute, helping Madrid gain its first road win in the league since March 30. Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo had the other goals for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo's goal came on a hard swerving shot from the edge of the penalty area after a pass from Figo.

It was Ronaldo's third goal since he joined Madrid from Inter Milan in late August and came just more than a month after he scored twice in his debut.

Real Madrid is in third place with 16 points. Real Sociedad leads with 21.
