Ronaldo earns Real Madrid start: I wish we'd won

Ronaldo admitted he struggled to be happy after making his first start for Real Madrid in last night's defeat by Celta Vigo.
 
The Brazilian lasted just over an hour before he was replaced by David Beckham and after the game said: "I am not happy. I'm not a big head. I am always unhappy when my team loses."

"But I'm content because people have been able to see me play again. That's what the people want and now I just want to start scoring goals."

"I am wrecked ... wrecked. I started cramping in my legs 20 minutes after halftime and that's why I had to come off. But I'll be better for the run."

Asked about comments last week that he felt coach Fabio Capello didn't have confidence in him, Ronaldo replied: "People did not understand what I was saying."

"Capello didn't trust me because I wasn't ready to play. I now want to follow Capello's instructions to the letter so I can play. That's what I want, more than anything."
