Ronaldo dreams of winning Nobel Peace Prize

Brazil and Real Madrid striker Ronaldo said on Sunday that one of his ambitions in life was to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

"I want to leave a good image not just in football but as a United Nations ambassador," he said in an interview with the weekly news magazine Epoca.

"I'm going to work for all my life and battle hard to win a Nobel Peace Prize," added Ronaldo who, like Real Madrid team-mate Zinedine Zidane is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme.

"It would leave me very satisfied. It's a sacrifice which is worth the effort."

However, the 29-year-old said that a career in politics would be less likely.

"Aecio Neves (governor of Minas Gerais state), who is my friend, said that if he becomes president of Brazil, he will name me as Minister of Sports."

"If that really happens, I will need to be prepared. I've never thought about it, but I'm not ruling it out, either."
