Ronaldo Admits It Was Tough-Going Against Espanyol

Real Madrid striker Ronaldo said Espanyol played very defensively in their 2-1 defeat to the Merengues yesterday.

The Brazilian was on target twice in the win, with his first goal coming from a header.

"The headed goal was almost routine," he said. "It is a facet of the game that I am working on a lot, but in which I have improved very little. I must still work more on my aerial game."

"Finally I have been able to score a goal against Espanyol. It is far from easy to make goals against teams that won't open up."

"Espanyol have played with five defenders and four men in midfield, so it was very difficult to find space."
