Roman Abramovich wants to fund a swap deal that would shock world football

The Sunday Express have sensationally claimed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich could well use Eden Hazard and a huge amount of cash to land Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

The Blues want to make a splash in the transfer market this summer, and also try and please manager Antonio Conte in the transfer market, and know the way to do that is to sign a world class star – and they don’t come bigger than Ronaldo.

Of course, at the route of the issues between Ronaldo and his club, is the fact that he owes £13 million in tax, yet it seems that the player will stay in Spain if the club agree to pay whatever fine he needs to pay and sort his way out of trouble with the government.

That would mean any move from other clubs would be off, but it could well unsettle Eden Hazard that Chelsea were so willing to use him as a pawn to land someone they see as a better player.
