Roma To Reject Real Madrid's Advances For Daniele De Rossi
Real Madrid may have spent millions, but they are having trouble with finding a new midfielder
Roma are determined to fend off any interest from Real Madrid for Daniele de Rossi after the Spanish giants were said to be lining up a €30million offer.
The Italian outfit are not interested in selling their prize midfielder and have made it clear that if a bid is received then it will be turned down.
Madrid are keen to add to their ranks again and want a player to partner Lassani Diarra - and, according to Marca, that player is De Rossi.
But Roma's sporting director, Daniele Prade, was adamant that the Rome-born star, who is under contract with the club until 2012, wants to stay put.
"It's obvious that De Rossi will stay," he told Corriere dello Sport.
"It would be very easy for us to put him up for sale as there would be a queue of clubs ready to sign him.
"But his stay proves his attachment to the Sensi family (who own the club) and to these colours."
