Roma star Cassano wants Real Madrid move

AS Roma star Antonio Cassano has openly declared an ambition to play for Real Madrid.

Speaking after Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Juventus, where he was Roma's lone goal scorer, Cassano said: "Real Madrid is a grandísimo team that we all dream of playing for. I do also, I cannot hide that."

"I have offers from around Europe. England I'm not sure of because of the weather, but Spain ..."

The Italian press are reporting that Real president Florentino Perez has made a preliminary offer of £12 million cash for Cassano, while Juventus have tabled a bid of £10 million plus striker Adrian Mutu.
