Roma's Mexes "honoured" by Real Madrid interest

Roma defender Philippe Mexes has cooled talk of a move to Real Madrid.

The France international said last night: "I am honored by the interest of Real Madrid in my signing, but I am happy in Rome."

"We have a great trainer, Luciano Spalletti, and the dressing room is very united. We have everything in place in order to win something important this season."
