Roma clinch Baptista agreement with Real Madrid

Roma have struck terms with Real Madrid for Julio Baptista.

Roma have had a £7 million offer accepted by Real, with another £1.5 million due if they were to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Baptista's agent, Herminio Menendez, confirmed yesterday that an agreement had been struck between the two clubs. The Brazilian's minders are due in Italy today to thrash out personal terms with Roma officials.
