Robinho wanted Real Madrid assurance over Luxemburgo

Santos whiz Robinho has spent the week in contact with Real Madrid over the future of coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

Robinho has admitted to Real directors some concern that Luxemburgo could be sacked before his arrival in the summer.

The Brazil international regards his former Santos coach as a second father, particularly after the support he received from Luxemburgo during his Mum's kidnapping late, last year.

In the 41 days his Mum was missing, Robinho was taken care of by Luxemburgo, who made sure Santos shielded him from the media. The youngster will never forget the support he received and will forever remain loyal to potentially his new Real coach.

A Real representative is reported to have informed Robinho late, last week: "You do not have to worry, in the last days the club and the players have shown absolute support for Luxa continuing next season."
