Robinho: I'm in best shape since Real Madrid arrival

Brazilian winger Robinho says he's now in the best form of his Real Madrid career.

"I always had a calm head because I knew of my quality and my fitness - and I know how good I am," said Robinho. "It is difficult when you play badly, when your team is struggling."

"But now I am playing well and the team is playing well. I hope this continues."

"I feel I have come through my worst time. Often I have been praised and other times criticized. That makes you be harder. I believe that I am more mature, happier and more stable than ever."

"I am young and despite of that I have experienced many things in my life. Some, like the kidnapping of my mother, has strengthened me as a person, but that has nothing to do with football. Others, like the difficult time for Madrid and the difficult first year here, has taught me a lot."
