Robinho hints why Real Madrid deal won't be made public

Santos ace Robinho says he is ready to move to Europe this year.

Real Madrid are favourites to land the Brazil international, though Santos have so far refused to confirm a deal has been struck with the Spanish giants.

"Yes, I believe I am mature enough to move to Europe," said Robinho. "I've grown up a lot in a short time and have been preparing myself for Europe."

"I hope in Europe I can play the same way as I do in Brazil; that is, by showing joy on the field and always trying to play attacking football."

Robinho's Santos is still involved in the Copa Liberatores and he hinted why his agreement with Real Madrid had not been made public.

"My focus now is only on Santos and the Copa Liberatores. Nothing has been agreed with another club, which is important because I don't want people thinking I have played a bad game for Santos because my head is elsewhere."
