Robinho continues to boycott training at Santos

Brazil striker Robinho, angry with his club Santos after they turned down an offer from Real Madrid, continued to boycott training with the Brazilian champions on Thursday.

Robinho, one of Brazil's most exciting new talents, has defied orders by Santos to rejoin their squad since returning from the Confederations Cup in Germany last Friday.

He briefly appeared at the club on Wednesday when he talked to coach Gallo and joked with this team mates but did not take part in practice.

Robinho, who bade farewell to Santos supporters in an interview from Germany last week, says Real Madrid have offered $25 million.

Santos said that any team wanting to buy him before the end of his contract in 2008 must pay a $50 million penalty.
