Robinho backing Emerson against Real Madrid boo-boys

Robinho dedicated his strike for Real Madrid on Sunday in their victory over Nastic to teammate Emerson.

Emerson was again missing from the Real squad for the 2-0 win, having struggled to win over the Santiago Bernabeu crowd since arrival in the summer.

"Emerson is my friend and a great player," said Robinho. "The people who boo you today, will applaud you tomorrow. Zidane was even booed at the Bernabeu. I dedicated the goal to him because he has been very supportive of me, but in addition before the match against Nastic, Emer said to me that I would score a goal."

On his status at Real, Robinho added: "I cannot say anything about that because Fabio Capello is the one in charge of team selection. The only thing that I can do is to continue working to show that I have the quality to be a starter."

"I am going to try to the end of the season to show our fans my best form. Against Nastic I finished the game very happy because the team took the three points."
