Roberto Carlos: We Thought We'd Won The Match

Roberto Carlos has admitted Real Madrid took their foot of the gas after taking a 2-0 lead in their Champions League showdown with AEK Athens in the Bernabeu.

The Greek side came back with two late goals to draw with the European Champions, just at they did when the teams met in Athens three weeks ago.

"We thought that we had won the match and lowered our work-rate," admitted the Brazilian. "We were playing well but we let ourselves be held to a draw. It left us very angry," he added.
