Roberto Carlos says Real Madrid would turn Manchester United wing wizard Cristiano Ronaldo into the world's best player.

Asked if he would recommend Madrid to Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos declared: "Yes, without a doubt."

"Now he is one of the five best in the world, but if he was to play for Real Madrid he'd become number one."
