Roberto Carlos tells Beckham: Come and play for Real Madrid

Roberto Carlos has urged David Beckham to quit Manchester United and join him at Real Madrid.

The Brazilian wing-back told the Mirror yesterday: "Beckham is a great player. I am not the one that signs players, but he is a class player that everybody wants to have in their team.

"Here, he would be well received and I would like to have him as a teammate."

Roberto Carlos added, "I have played against Beckham several times and I am curious to know if we could play well together."
