Roberto Carlos: Stars want Beckham at Real Madrid

Real Madrid ace Roberto Carlos has urged David Beckham to join him in Spain next season.

Manchester United star Beckham is a £40 million target for Real and admitted to being "honoured" by reports linking him with the European champs.

Roberto Carlos said, "All the players here would love Beckham to come to Madrid next season and I hope the stories of his transfer are true."

"We have many, many great players already but Beckham is one of the few who could add strength to our team. And I know he would be very popular with the fans."
