Roberto Carlos on his way from Real Madrid

This is expected to be Roberto Carlos' final season with Real Madrid.

The Brazilian is inside the final 18 months of his current contract and AS says neither the player, nor Real, expect talks to open over extending his deal.

Former Real president Florentino Perez had promised Roberto Carlos a contract extension sometime this season and while sports director Pedja Mijatovic had assured the wing-back that the offer would be upheld, all indications are that the Brazilian will leave in the summer.
