River Plate's Higuain: I want Real Madrid move

River Plate striker Gonzalo Higuain admits he has his heart set on moving to Real Madrid next month.

The Argentine club's finance chief, Hector Grinberg, will arrive in Madrid today for talks with Real over a fee for the youngster, though River insist they do not have to sell.

For his part, Higuain said yesterday: "I don't believe the trip made by Grinberg will finish empty-handed."

"I feel the great support of the fans of River. But I am young and I need to look after my best interests. Madrid is an opportunity that not everyone receives. It is obvious I am now ready to make the jump to Europe."
