Reyes: Real Madrid home debut couldn't have gone better

Ruud van Nistelrooy heaped praise on Real Madrid teammate Jose Reyes after his goal in yesterday's 2-0 win over Real Sociedad.

The Dutchman said: "Today Reyes was the best player in the team. It was very important that he scored."

Reyes also said: "I cannot ask for anything else, I have started, I scored a goal ... I cannot ask for more. The first-half was not very good, Real has come to play with eleven in defence and so it was very difficult."

"In the second-half there were more gaps."

"Any team that comes to the Bernabeu comes to draw, but in the end we have had the luck to win. It is important to stay positive, the team has won and in the second-half we have demonstrated that we have a winning character."
