Reports Of Beckham Affair Grow

Reports that David Beckham had an affair with his former personal assistant are gathering pace despite a strong denial from the England captain.

The News of the World reported on Sunday that the Real Madrid star has an affair with Rebecca Loos while wife Victoria and his two children were away.

The NOTW's sister-paper The Sun has today quoted Rebecca's brother, John, as saying: "The first I knew something was up was when Rebecca rang home early this morning and woke me up to warn me."

"At first, she wouldn't tell me anything and she wouldn't tell me where she was, either. All she said was she was abroad with a friend."

"But I have spoken to her since and she has confirmed that she had an affair with David. She hasn't gone into details about the relationship."

Beckham has responded by saying: "I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. What appeared this morning is just one further example."

"The simple truth is that I am very happily married, have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing that any third party can do to change these facts."
