Referee named for Spanish Supercup Final between Real Madrid and Barcelona

The Spanish Football Federation have appointed Juan Martinez Munuera as the man in charge of Sunday’s Spanish Supercup Final between Real Madrid and Barcelona, which will be played in Saudi Arabia at 20:00 CET.

This will be the fourth El Clasico for Martinez Munuera, with Real Madrid having a 2W-1L record with him in charge of their meetings against Barcelona.

Needless to say, this will be a very intense game as the two teams are playing for a title, even if the Spanish Supercup isn’t crucial for any team. Martinez Munuera will have his hands full in this game given that both teams will possibly look at this game as a big opportunity to make a statement for the second half of the season.
