Real tough to beat, says Zidane

The arrival of Brazilian striker Ronaldo at Real Madrid will make it very difficult for any side to dethrone the European champions, according to star midfielder Zinedine Zidane.

The French playmaker told the Marca sports daily that Ronaldo's transfer from Inter Milan had given added motivation to the Real training sessions.

"And for me personally, it has been a great relief as nearly all the attention is in his direction now," he said.

Zidane also joined Real from Italy where he had been playing with Juventus and the world record transfer tag around his neck meant he had a difficult start before finally settling in.

"When we are playing at 100 percent of our capabalities, it will be very difficult for any side to get the better if us," said Zidane.

"I would say that Milan have just as many top players in their line-up. but I think that we work better as a team."
