Real To Reward Guti With New Contract

Real Madrid are set to offer Spanish international midfielder Guti a new and improved three-year contract, according to the latest reports from the capital.

The 26-year-old's current contract at the Bernabeu only expires in 2005 but the head-honchos have drafted up a vastly improved deal in order to pre-emptively fend off interest in the highly versatile midifielder, who at least initially was none to pleased with the added competition that came with David Beckham's arrival.
