Real to party with Europe's elite

Real Madrid are planning a special centenary edition of their Trofeo Bernabeu tournament with Bayern Munich, Manchester United AC Milan.

The competition, usually the highlight of Real's pre-season calendar, reverts back to the old formula of a knockout tournament rather than the standard one-game event of recent years.

Real use the popular tournament to show off their side ahead of the new season and next summer's 'Trofeo' looks set to be a classic.

Last August, Hector Cuper's Inter Milan picked up the cup beating the Merengues 1-2 at the hallowed Bernabeu.
