Real to meet Egyptian giants

Real Madrid are to travel to Cairo to face Egyptian side Al-Ahli as part of their pre-season programme.

The Spanish champions will rake in $US 1.5m for taking part in the match which has been scheduled for August 4. Their opponents, the recent Egyptian Cup winners Al-Ahli were proclaimed the best African side of the last century by FIFA in December.

Real return to pre-season training on July 23 when they will fly out to Switzerland for a training camp and mini-tournament in Nyon.
