Real to make summer Salas move

According to reports in the Italian press, Real Madrid are preparing an offer to land Lazio striker Marcelo Salas during the close season.

According to reports in Italian daily, 'Corriere dello Sport', Real would pay Lazio $US 17.5million plus the services of defender, Michel Salgado to bring the Chilean striker to the Bernabeu next season. According to the report, Real have already made an official offer to Salas' agent, Gustavo Mascardi.

Lazio chairman, Sergio Cragnotti and team coach Dino Zoff are considering the Spanish club's offer. The Rome-based outfit are eyeing Arsenal's Sylvain Wiltord as a possible replacement should Salas leave in the summer.
