Real 'Sporting City' plans approved

Real Madrid's plans to construct a new Sporting village were approved by local authorities on Monday.
The Merengues sold off one of their old training camps to the local council with the idea of building a new, modern site on waste ground close to the city's airport.

The plans, which include to construct four offices towers and state-of-the-art sporting facilities were definitively approved by regional Urban Development vice-president Luis Eduardo Cortés on Monday.

The seal of approval sees Real vault over the final hurdle in the lengthy process to see their new Sports City go ahead.

Real's new 'Ciudad del Madridisimo' will be 10 times the size of the club's current training ground.
