Real Sociedad keeper Westerveld slams Spanish refs

Real Sociedad goalkeeper Sander Westerveld has launched an astonishing attack on Spanish Liga referees.

Reacting after Villarreal's last-gasp equalizer in Sunday's 1-1 draw, the Dutchman blasted last night: "One of the referees was incredible.

"In Holland or England you might get a decision that doesn't go your way, but you always say that over a season it can even up.

"But here in Spain, nine out ten times the decisions have been against us. If not for poor refereeing decision we'd have many more points."
