Real slam Roberto Carlos decision

Real Madrid have slammed Brazil's decision to give Roberto Carlos a late fitness test before tomorrow's vital World Cup qualifier with Venezuela.

Brazilian coach Luis Felipe Scolari is prepared to risk Roberto Carlos's fitness for the game which could secure Brazil's automatic qualification for next summer's World Cup qualifier in Japan and Korea.

Real medical staff are concerned that the left-back may worsen the tendon damage in his right knee which has kept him on the sidelines for the past three weeks.

Both parties had originally agreed that the Real Madrid hot-shot would sit the game out until his knee fully recovered.

Scolari, however, is keen to field a full-strength side against Venezuela, a game that they must win, and wants Robert Carlos in his starting 11.
