Real set to extend Karanka's contract

Real Madrid vice prezident Jorge Valdano declared on Thursday that the club is set to offer Aitor Karanka a new five-year contract.

"We believe in potential of the player. We've made an offer to him and now we are waiting for his answer," announced Valdano to Europa Press.

If Karanka, 28, accepts the offer, then his career most likely will finish at Real. But it is very likely that the stumbling-block to this problem may be the conditions of the impending contract.

Nevertheless, neither part want to reveal the sum of the contract. As such, Valdano admits that the negotiations with the player are going to be difficult, because every part has its own way.
