Real sell off training ground

Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez signed away the club's old training ground to the local Madrid council on Monday morning.

Perez met with Madrid's mayor Jose Maria Alvarez del Manzano and City Council president Alberto Ruiz Gallardon to finalise the details of the agreement, which includes plans for a new Sporting village in the Parque de Valdebebas, close to the Juan Carlos I business centre.

Real are hoping that the new training centre will be finished by 2004.
