Real plan £17m Viduka swoop

Spanish champions Real Madrid are set to offer £17m for Leeds striker Mark Viduka, according to reports.

Real boss Vicente Del Bosque has been tracking the 25-year-old since his superb display in Leeds' 3-2 Champions League defeat in Madrid two months ago.

But Leeds boss David O'Leary apparently wants at least £23m for the Australian.

Del Bosque has been given an amazing £80m summer transfer kitty by the Bernabeu board.

Top of his shopping list is Juventus star Zinedine Zidane, who Del Bosque is apparently willing to pay a world record £40m for.

Zidane's club team-mate Filippo Inzaghi is another target. He would cost £25m according to Real.
