Real out to end 11 year Cup wait

Real Madrid aim to end an 11-year wait and beat Real Zaragoza in the Barcelona Olympic stadium to win the Spanish Cup.

League leaders Real's last Cup triumph came in 1993 against Zaragoza.

"It's true Real have not won the Cup for some time. We'll have to put that right," Real's England captain David Beckham said Wednesday.

Real have won the Cup 17 times in 35 finals to Zaragoza's five wins.

The nine-times European champions will be without injured Brazil World Cup star Ronaldo and goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Sixth-from-the-bottom Zaragoza, who held Real 1-1 in Madrid in the league last Saturday, said just playing Madrid was motivation enough.

"We have more to win than Real, that's why we'll win," said coach Victor Munoz.
