AS sports daily revealed Real would pay 3.6 million euros a year to insure Ronaldo, currently with Inter Milan, for 24 million.
The report said the club already pays 2.7 million euros per year per player for stars Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane.
On Friday, Real Madrid official Jorge Valdano met Ronaldo's agent but denied they had agreed a transfer.
