Real Murcia atop Primera Liga, draws with Levante

Real Murcia moved provisionally top of Spain's Primera Liga following a creditable goalless draw away to Levante on Saturday night.

The promoted side followed up its highly impressive opening day win over Real Zaragoza with a hard-earned point against a disappointing Levante outfit to sit provisionally at the summit of the Primera Liga after two rounds of the championship.

They are likely to lose top spot on Sunday when most of the other Primera Liga sides will be in action.

Real Zaragoza and Racing Santander shared a 1-1 draw. Oscar Serrano opened the scoring for Racing but then Ricardo Oliveira equalized for Zaragoza who have had a poor start to the season.

On Sunday, champions Real Madrid visit Villarreal while Barcelona host Athletic Bilbao at the Nou Camp. Struggling Valencia make the trip to Almeria, Getafe host Recreativo Huelva, Real Betis meet Espanyol and Real Mallorca travel to Atletico Madrid.
