Real, Milan put offers on table for Ajax's Chivu

Ajax Amsterdam skipper Christian Chivu is expected to make a decision over his future next week.

The Romanian international fullback is being chased by Real Madrid and Italian trio Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan.

His representatives have fielded contract offers from all four clubs, with Chivu's Ajax contract having a buyout clause of £12 million.

Real have tabled a four-year deal, worth £1.9 million-a-season and are said to be favourites to land the youngster.

All three Italian clubs have offered bigger contracts, with AC Milan said to be the highest offer at £2.15 million-a-season.
